This artwork shows a close-up view of wilted flower petals in rich shades of pink, purple, and yellow. Accents of green and flowing brushstrokes in lilac and rose tones create a dynamic contrast between photography and paint. The composition highlights the organic textures and subtle color transitions found in natural decay
The artwork is part of the series In Soft Motion in which I capture the fleetingness and beauty of transient moments. I set out in search of moments of lightness, tranquillity and a deep connection with nature. Photography and painting merge into flowing visual worlds in which memories, moods and fragments of nature invite us to pause and appreciate the fleeting. By painting over photographic fragments - such as the play of light on water or wilting flowers - I focuse on the special in the supposedly inconspicuous. The fragility and silent decay of my motifs remind of the uniqueness of life and the preciousness of the moment.
