Hi my name is Shira and I am a visual artist based in Vienna.

My work emerges from attentive observations of quiet, often overlooked moments. Inspired by nature, travel, and fleeting impressions, I transform fragments of reality into new visual worlds. My practice spans photography, glass paintings, and photographic overpaintings, focusing on small details such as wilting flowers and organic structures in transition.

I am fascinated by the movements, forms, and rhythms of nature — especially in phases of change and decay, where transformation becomes visible. Fluid brushstrokes weave between the photographed image and the painted surface, blurring the boundary between reality and interpretation, while my photographic works isolate natural fragments in their pure, contemplative presence. Through these different approaches, I explore emotion, movement, and transformation.

My works reflect a personal journey shaped by curiosity, sensitivity and a deep connection to the subtle poetry of the everyday. They invite the viewer to pause, to look closer, and to discover the beauty in impermanence — expressing both my deep connection to nature and my appreciation for its continuous cycles of growth, dissolution, and renewal.
