This artwork depicts a multi-layered composition in bold colors. The left painting is dominated by bright red and radiant blue. The stream-like blue shapes flow over the red background, which suggests a photograph. On the right side, deep red, pink, and blue tones are interwoven in curved lines and organic structures. Both halves appear contrasting, but are connected by the flowing movements.
This artwork consists of two photographs, one captured in Luang Prabang and the other one in Bangkok. I can hardly put into words the fascination that often overwhelms me on my travels, but through overpainting the photographs I try to capture the dynamism the many smells and the vibrant colors that rush past me.
